A part of the club’s staff is made of volunteers. You are free to be one yourself but if you don’t have time for that, you could donate to support your child’s team. It can sometimes be difficult to put aside money for donations, but it doesn’t have to be like that, especially if you are good at sports betting. You can use this Ladbrokes promo code to get some very attractive betting offers.
The Severn Athletic Club is involved in several sports. The teams compete in local and national competitions. The sports offered at SAC are:
Softball – Registration for the U8 softball team is not available at this moment.
Track and field
They also have a cheerleading team and a conditioning camp. The camp was initially designed to support their football team’s needs but it evolved into an all-sports program for people of all experience levels. Training began in March and it takes place every Sunday and Thursday until the end of July.
The teams are formed by 11-12 and 13-15-year-old children to play in their age group divisions. They also have a program for 7-9-year-olds who want to play baseball at a competitive level. The practice sessions take place at the home fields of the Severn Danza Park and Queenstown Park.
Severn Athletic Club has coached training children as young as 4 and up to 14 years old. They strive to provide opportunities for developing individual abilities and teamwork skills. You can rest assured that your kids are in good hands because all coaches must pass a background check and a thorough interview process prior to being offered a job.
The soccer program is meant for kids aged 7-18. There are both boys and girls teams in each age group. The registration fee for the County Program is $100. You could also choose the In-House Program for kids aged less than 7 years. The price is $30 per player for the entire duration of the program (6 weeks from March 31st to May 12th).
The Severn Athletic Club welcomes athletes aged 7-18. You have to pay a $165 registration fee that includes the uniform costs and the practice fees. The registration closed in June for high school participants.
The teams are lead by 2 head coaches: Bruce and Olivia Hunter, both of them being Level 1 certified coaches with more than 20 years of experience in track and field, but also baseball, basketball, and soccer. They consistently send 25-40 competitors to the annual AAU Junior Olympics National Championships.
Even though wrestling is not the main focus of the club, Severn Athletics child wrestlers compete in both local and national competitions. They have recently closed registration for the 2017-2018 seasons where the best young boys and girls were chosen to join the team.
You should know that training sessions are vigorous in terms of conditioning which is why the kid should be physically able to sustain them. Check with your paediatrician to make sure there are no underlying conditions that could prevent the child from doing strenuous physical exercises.
All in all, parents are welcome to sign their children up to these sports clubs. Any kid should stay active and it’s the parent’s duty to make sure that happens.
