Volunteers are essential for a big part of Severn Athletic’s baseball games. Remember that one should lead by example. What better way to teach your little ones a sense of community involvement if not by volunteering at his baseball team? Not only that you make it possible for him to get regular physical exercise but you also teach him a lesson to cherish for the rest of his life.
If you want them to make a successful program, it’s time to get involved. What kind of work are you supposed to do? If you have any experience in baseball, you could be a coach, but don’t worry if you don’t.
They need people to get the fields ready, to mow the grass, to throw out the trash etc. These are perfect jobs for people who can’t dedicate a lot of time to this project. Still, if you have more free time, you are welcome to come on the team as a coach or a team parent. Anyone can help and it doesn’t matter in what amount.
The coordinator for the 5/6-year-olds t-ball division is Jaymie Hebb. You could contact him at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions regarding the practice sessions.
